Early on the morning of Jan. 3 we awoke well rested. We sailed into Sydney – only about 15 miles from Pittwater. It was wonderful – we were all in a good mood and really enjoyed it. We met up with Mike and Sue at anchor at Manley. Picked them up and set off for a quick spin around Sydney Harbour., then anchored next to them at Little Manley Point.

Margy and Katherine arrived the next day. Alan went to pick them up while Ken, Susan, and I cleaned the boat. Ken and Susan went off to explore Sydney while Sue and I went to do laundry. Margy and Katherine arrived and we all met up with Ken and Susan at the Center Pointe Tower where we saw Sydney from the observation deck. Then we had an excellent dinner at Red in The Rocks where I had been previously with the folks from Landmark Sydney. We caught the jet cat back to Manley.

Friday, Jan 5 we did a harbour cruise with 15 people including Mike and Sue, their friends Alan and Helen, and Nigel, Victoria, Tim, and Angie from Landmark. The Landmarkers brought us prawns and bugs (Moreton Bay bugs, similar to large crawfish or small lobsters) at the fish market. We had a delightful tour.

Mike and Sue watched Robin Hood with us and we finished off the remaining prawns and open bottles of wine. They are really nice people and I was glad to finally meet them.

On Jan 6 we got up early for a run on Manley Beach. There was a lot going on – beach volleyball, curling (rowing), lifeguard competitions, and plenty of people having fun. Bradley and I had a nice run and swim, then a huge breakfast with our friends. Then it was back to pack and leave for the airport – DARN!
